At the start of each new year, I go through the motions of explaining why I don’t make New Year resolutions. I honestly don’t think that the beginning of a new year is any different to any other day of the year. It’s just an excuse to get those last few calorie-laden meals in before you start a diet; an excuse to finish off your last pack of cigarettes before you give up smoking; it’s a false line-in-the-sand – why wait for a starting point that’s a few days, weeks, months away when you can start today? Are you just buying time because you’re not ready to commit yet?
Maybe you’re looking for motivation
Having said that, I think that many people need that line drawn in their sand, and – more importantly – they need to know that they are supported by others who are on a similar journey.
If you need a starting point, and you’re willing to set some goals and work towards them, I’d be honored if you’d come along on this journey alongside me. I’ve released 30lb in the last 3 months, and I’m ready to kick this up a notch and make a start on kicking the next 70lb to the curb!
Of course, I don’t intend to release the whole 70lb in the one 30-day challenge, but another 10 would be a great achievement for me!
